Replacement Window Types - Awning Window
Awning windows are not windows made for under an awning, as the name might suggest, but instead they are windows that open to look like an awning. The awning window is hinged at the top and opens outward, rather than sliding up or to the side. At Integrity Windows of Lakewood we install a number of awning windows where non-opening windows previously existed. For example, in the older homes throughout our greater Cleveland area, it isn’t uncommon to have a rectangular window that allows in light but doesn’t open. When replacing those windows with an awning window you still get the benefit of natural daylight with the added benefit of better airflow and ventilation without letting in the rain or snow. The awning window we installed below has an additional feature of grilles between the glass or an interior grille, available in a variety of colors to match your window style.
Our awning windows come with many options including hardware, security, colors and grids and both our casement and awning windows feature a handle that folds into operator cover while stopping cold Cleveland winter air with a triple seal.
